Organic High Caffeine Coffee with L-Theanine & Cordyceps

Our Finnish grandparents brewed mushrooms when they couldn't get coffee. Turns out those mushrooms—Chaga—are a powerful, immune-supporting Four Sigmatic food. That gave us an idea.

We searched for more exhaustively-studied, practically-magic ingredients to add to our daily go-tos. Guess what? Organic coffee plus Chaga is chaga-bly delicious and remarkably good at balancing caffeine.

Our founder, Tero, grew up in Finland on a family farm that's been around for 13 generations. There he learned to appreciate the best off-the-beaten-track ingredients and the absolute worst puns. Tero started Four Sigmatic to share these feel-good Finnish traditions with the world. As you might have guessed, we don't take ourselves too seriously. But our products are no joke.

Each brew creates a delicious cup of flavorful, dark roast coffee with notes of chocolate and nuts. We've paired this premium coffee with three amplifying ingredients: organic coffee extract, L-theanine, and organic cordyceps mushroom extract. When busy doesn't even begin to describe your day, this energy boosting blend, with about 190mg of caffeine per 12oz cup, helps you get it all done.

Cordyceps were first discovered by sherpas of the Himalayan mountains. After trying these small, strange-looking mushrooms, they could breathe easier at high altitudes and had a lift in physical energy. Each cup of our coffee contains 500mg of Cordyceps.

One of our concerns when developing our high caffeine coffee was the extra boost would come with extra side effects. This is why we've infused this extra strong ground coffee with green tea extract to provide L-Theanine, an amino acid known for its extraordinary ability to balance out that caffeine surge.

Grown in the Marcala, La Paz region of Honduras, at 5,500 feet above sea level, these specialty-grade, single origin coffee beans brew a delicious, low acid coffee. Functional mushrooms have been used around the world for centuries to improve productivity, immune support, and more. We always use the mushrooms' fruiting bodies which contain 15x more active ingredients than the mycelium.
